Protecting The World From The Forces Of Evil 24/7

Most people are well aware of the traditional Chinese lunar calendar and its twelve-year-cycle. But there’s another celestial calendar from the Far East that features an entirely different realm, a realm in which a relentless battle is constantly being waged by 12 Guardians sent by God to protect all mankind! Steeped in Ancient Korean imagery, these 12 Guardians mirror the lunar animals, but take human forms, each defending a different direction against demons and other evils set loose upon the world. For them, the Earth is a battlefield and there is no rest… ever!

Those 12 Guardians—the ZI:SIN—have now emerged out from the shadows of their better-known lunar cousins on a series of limited-edition silver bullion medals from South Korea. Each medal was struck at KOMSCO, the official mint of South Korea, in a full ounce of highly pure 99.9% fine silver. Here you can secure the 2021 issue featuring Taurus, also known as the Bull.

The Guardian Of Peace And The God Of War

According to ZI:SIN folklore, Taurus is both the Guardian of Peace and the God of War. He’s shown on this medal staring intently at a sword that he has just forged—an exquisitely crafted weapon that he will no doubt put to good use fighting the forces of evil in his quest to preserve peace and tranquility. His long hair billows around his chiseled physique while a confident expression is etched across his face. An ornamental bull complete with horns and a ringed nose appears on his left shoulder providing ample assurance to good people everywhere that they are safe with him as their protector! The obverse shows the image of Dokkaebi, a supernatural goblin that is a symbol of good luck. Known in Korean as Gwi-myeon-wa, this figure dates back to the 7th century and the Silla Dynasty.

Razor-Sharp Designs And Lenticular Security Features

While not legal tender, each 2021 South Korea Silver ZI:SIN – Taurus One-Ounce Silver Medal bears a ceremonial denomination of 1 Clay. In addition, each medal available here will come in original Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition with razor-sharp designs that are as fresh and crisp as the day they left the mint. Each medal also contains a unique security feature integrated into its design. Located on the obverse, this lenticular feature will display either “AG” or “999” depending on the angle at which you view it.
