Own a Piece of Kaiser Wilhelm II’s Imperial Germany

2021 is the 150th anniversary of the German Empire and this 100 Mark Reichsbanknote is more than 110 years old. The last issue date for these relatively large 8" x 4" notes was April 21, 1910, with red serial numbers. This Note with red seals is stunningly beautiful, with the Roman gods Mercury and Ceres on the front. The female personification of the German nation, Germania, seated under an oak tree with the imperial fleet in the background is on the back. When held to the light, the watermark depicts Kaiser Wilhelm I, King of Prussia and the first German emperor.

Pre-World War I Currency Notes

B These notes were printed during the reign of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the ill-tempered grandson of the first Wilhelm and the oldest grandchild of Great Britain’s Queen Victoria! Germany continued to print these notes through the end of World War I. Those later notes are easily identifiable due to their seals printed in green. And, as an example of how large a toll the war had on Germany’s economy, these banknotes dropped in value from about $23.80 in American dollars at the start of the war to about $14.20 by war’s end.

Add a significant piece of World War I history to your collection with this beautiful 1910 Germany 100 Mark Currency Red Seal Note. Each vintage note available here comes in Circulated condition. Secure yours now!
