Who Was The First President On A Coin?

By GovMint :
President Abraham Lincoln was the first president to appear on a circulating coin in the U.S. In 1909, to commemorate Lincoln's 100th birthday, the U.S. Mint released the Lincoln Cent, featuring Lincoln's portrait on the obverse side of the coin. This iconic coin design marked a significant moment in numismatic history, as it was the first time a U.S. president was featured on standard circulating coinage, cementing Lincoln's place in American coinage for generations to come and establishing the tradition of featuring real people on coins.
