Who is on the Nickel?

Who is on the Nickel?

By GovMint :

The U.S. nickel features the image of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States, on its obverse. This design was introduced in 1938, replacing the Buffalo nickel, as part of a public design competition won by Felix Schlag. Jefferson was chosen to honor his legacy as a Founding Father and an author of the Declaration of Independence. The reverse of the nickel originally depicted Jefferson's home, Monticello, which has been a consistent element except during the Westward Journey series in 2004 and 2005.
