Where Are Coins Minted in the U.S.?

By GovMint :
Today, U.S. coins are minted at several branches of the U.S. Mint, each with a rich history and a vital role in producing the nation's currency. The primary facilities that are currently operational include the Philadelphia Mint, Denver Mint, San Francisco Mint, and the West Point Mint. The U.S. has had several historical mints that are no longer operational but once played significant roles in the country's numismatic history, including the Charlotte Mint in North Carolina, the Dahlonega Mint in Georgia, the New Orleans Mint in Louisiana, and the Carson City Mint, in Nevada.
The Philadelphia Mint was the first mint branch, established in 1792, and today, it produces circulating coins, numismatic products, and medals. The Denver Mint, operational since 1906, mainly focuses on producing circulating coins and coin dies, but also strikes commemorative coinage. The San Francisco Mint, once a pivotal player during the California Gold Rush, now specializes in producing proof coinage of exceptional quality. Lastly, the West Point Mint, located near the U.S. Military Academy in New York, manufactures gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bullion coins in addition to proof and commemorative coins.
