How is Silver Formed?

How is Silver Formed?

By GovMint :

Silver is formed through both cosmic and geological processes. Like many heavy elements, including gold, silver originates from the explosive deaths of stars, specifically supernovae. During these cataclysmic events, nuclear fusion processes create silver, dispersed into space, and eventually incorporated into forming planets, including Earth.

On Earth, silver forms from sulfur compounds within the Earth's crust at high temperatures, typically between 200 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Silver is primarily found in sulfide ores, such as argentite and acanthite, often as a by-product of mining for other metals like copper, lead, and zinc.
