Do They Make Half Dollars Anymore?

By GovMint :
Half dollars are still made today, though their presence in everyday transactions has dwindled. Since 2002, they have been predominantly minted for special numismatic products like annual coin sets and as collector's items rather than for general circulation. For example, the Kennedy Half Dollar is traditionally included in annual U.S. Mint Proof and Mint sets and half dollar commemorative coins are also regularly issued by the U.S. Mint.
It's worth noting that while half dollars have not entered circulation in years, the Federal Reserve may still request they be made for circulation.
