Can You Visit the New Orleans Mint?

By GovMint :
Yes, you can visit the New Orleans Mint, which is now the New Orleans Jazz Museum. Located at 400 Esplanade Avenue, the museum is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and is closed on Mondays and state holidays. Known as the old U.S. Mint, the New Orleans Museum is a historical landmark, notable for being the only mint to have produced both American and Confederate coinage. The old building now primarily houses exhibits about jazz history and hosts musical performances. However, the first floor houses exhibits dedicated to the mint and its history.
