- 636 BC–AD 40 NABATEAN BRONZE PETRA – This coin circulated during the time of St. John the Baptist the herald for the coming Messiah. He is the patron saint to builders, tailors, printers, baptism, conversion to faith, people dealing with storms and their effects, and people who need healing from spasms or seizures.
- 9–62 ROMAN/JUDAEAN BRONZE PRUTAH OF PORCIUS FESTUS – Struck during the time of Paul the Apostle, the man moist responsible for spreading the Word of the Lord throughout the Roman Empire. The Acts of the Apostles chronicles his trial with the Roman prefect Porcius Festus. St. Paul is the patron saint of missionaries, evangelists, writers, journalists, authors, public workers, rope & saddle makers, and tent makers.
- 147 BC–AD 224 ELYMAIS BRONZE DRACHM – St. Christopher devoted his life to carrying people across a river. One night while carrying a child his burden grew heavier with each step. When questioned, the child declared that he was Christ, and that Christopher was thus bearing the weight of the world. Christopher lived during the 3rd century in the Parthian vassal state of Elymais near the Tigris River. He is the patron saint of travelers.
- 268–270 ROMAN BRONZE ANTONINIANUS OF CLAUDIUS II “GOTHICUS” – Defying the orders of the Emperor Claudius II Gothicus, St. Valentine performed secret Christian marriages in the underground Christian community, for which he was martyred on February 14—but not before he sent a letter to the jailer's daughter, which he signed “from your Valentine.” He is the patron saint of lovers, epileptics, and beekeepers.
- 3RD CENTURY ROMAN BRONZE COIN OF NICAEA – Known to many as Santa Claus, St. Nicholas was a third-century bishop of Myra, in Asia Minor. He eventually attended the landmark Council of Nicaea, at which the Nicene Creed was formalized. While most commonly recognized as the patron saint of children, he is also the patron saint of sailors, merchants, archers, repentant thieves, brewers, pawnbrokers, and students.
- 306–310 ROMAN BRONZE FOLLIS OF MAXIMIANUS – Saint Barbara is one the Fourteen Holy Helpers whose intercession is believed to protect against various illnesses. Despite her pagan father’s efforts, she became familiar with the teachings of Christ, had herself baptized, and was later martyred by Roman Emperor Maximianus during the Great Persecution of 303 with her own father carrying out the death sentence. She is the patron saint of artillerymen and miners.
- 1952 INDIA BRONZE PIECE – Now called Saint Teresa of Calcutta, Mother Teresa was an Albanian-born nun who founded the Missions of Charity with its base of operations in Calcutta, India. Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Mother Teresa dedicated her life to serving the poorest of the poor. Her order has grown to more than 5,000 religious sisters and they are present in 139 countries. She is the patron saint of World Youth Day.
- 2003 POLAND “NORDIC GOLD” 2 ZLOTYCH – Hailed as “The People’s Pope,” John Paul II was Born Karol Jósef Wojtyła in Wadowice, Poland in 1920. Among the 117 countries he traveled to as Vicar of Christ was his native Poland, where his historic 1979 visit helped inspire the Solidarity movement and the fall of Communism. Even before he was elevated to sainthood, he became the patron saint of Catholic Sports. He believed sports was an effective way for evangelization.
