Here’s Your Passport To 2025’s Most Popular Gold Coins!

Casey Kasem had his Top 40 List, David Letterman had his Top 10 List, and now the Numismatic World has its Top 5 List—of gold coins issued in 2025! They’re all here, the best of the best for 2025, and they’re just waiting for you to cherry pick them for your own personal collection! Here they are:

  • ·     AMERICAN GOLD EAGLE: This stunning gold coin is an American icon, proudly displaying the nation’s most popular symbols. It starts with the famous image designed by American Sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907 for the $20 Gold Double Eagle that shows Lady Liberty walking forward with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. The coin’s reverse is the work of Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) artist Jennie Norris and displays an “Eagle Portrait” that features a close-up profile of a bald eagle. This quarter-ounce coin was struck in highly pure 91.7% fine 22-karat gold.
  • ·     CHINA GOLD PANDA: The one-year-only design for China’s 2025 Panda was created by Chinese coin designer Huang Qin and features a mother panda bear eating bamboo and surrounded by her two young cubs. This is the seventh year of the China Mint’s 10-year “series within a series” where collectors get to watch a Panda grow from a cub to adulthood. The obverse displays the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests located in Beijing’s Temple of Heaven. This coin was struck in eight grams of 99.9% pure gold.
  • ·     CANADA GOLD MAPLE LEAF: Struck at the Royal Canadian Mint in a quarter ounce of 99.99% pure gold, the Gold Maple Leaf earns its name from the maple leaf that graces its reverse. In addition to the maple leaf, the word “CANADA” arches over the image, while the coin’s purity, “9999,” is inscribed on both sides of the leaf. An inscription along the bottom quarter of the rim reads, “FINE GOLD 1/4 OZ OR PUR.” A background finish of radial lines serves to thwart any would-be counterfeiters, as does a micro-engraved mint mark—a small leaf, engraved with the number “25”—that provides further security.
  • ·     SOUTH AFRICA GOLD KRUGERRAND: Struck every year since 1967—a span of more than half a century! the South African Mint’s Gold Krugerrand is one of the world’s premier gold coins. The 2025 Quarter-Ounce Gold Bullion Krugerrand was struck by the award-winning South African Mint in 99.9% pure gold. This gold bullion coin bears the same design as the original gold coin—former South African President Paul Kruger on one side and the iconic Springbok antelope on the other.
  • ·     GREAT BRITAIN’S FAMOUS BRITANNIA – The embodiment of a nation and icon of maritime sovereignty, Britannia has symbolized Britain for centuries, appearing on coins dating all the way back to the Roman Empire. More recently, her name and image have graced the United Kingdom’s Britannia bullion coin series since 1987. Philip Nathan’s design of Britannia standing unwaveringly on a wind-swept shore, trident in one hand with branch and shield in the other, won “Coin of the Year” honors for its debut. This quarter-ounce coin was struck in 99.99% pure gold

That’s five gold coins from some of the world’s most prestigious mints. Plus, each coin comes in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition! This is the perfect starting point for collectors and an awesome opportunity for gold bugs everywhere. Make these Top Five coins a “Fast Five” set and add them to your collection right away!
