2024(P) $1 1-oz Silver Eagle w/Star Privy Mark Gaudioso, Damstra, Ryder, Mercanti & Frost Signature 5-pc set NGC/PCGS MS70 First Day of Issue w/Black Core
The FIRST-EVER Privy Marked Mint State Silver Eagle!
Throughout the entire 38-year history of the U.S. Mint’s American Silver Eagle Series from 1986 through 2024, there has NEVER been a Mint State coin struck with a special privy mark—never, that is, until NOW! As the world’s most popular and coveted silver bullion coin, you can well imagine that collector interest in this release has reached a fever pitch for these limited-edition 2024 Silver Eagles Struck with special, first-time-ever Star Privy Marks! Struck at the prestigious “Mother Mint” in Philadelphia, these Silver Eagles represent both rarity and the finest craftsmanship in modern coinage.
A Gotta-Have It, Must-Have Piece For Any Collection
The only other time a privy mark appeared in the Silver Eagle series was in 2020 when Proof Silver Eagles were struck with a special “75” privy mark to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. But of the nearly 636 million Mint State Silver Eagles struck from 1986 to 2023 NONE have ever featured a privy mark making this special coin a gotta-have it, must-have piece for any collection. But THAT’S where the rarity of this special release comes into play…
That’s because just 500,000 of these 2024(P) $1 One-Ounce Silver Eagles With Star Privy Marks have been authorized for worldwide release. That’s a remarkably small mintage when you compare it to other mintages of Silver Eagles over the years. For example, the lowest mintage in the series occurred in 1996 when The Mint struck a shade more than 3.6 million Silver Eagles. The mintage for this Star Privy Silver Eagles represents just 14% of that lowest mintage year! Clearly there are not enough to go around!
Significance Of The 5-Pointed Star Privy Mark
The privy mark itself is a 5-point star, a significant element steeped in American History. The five-pointed star was used on the United States flag in 1777 when Betsy Ross stitched together the first American flag. According to the legend surrounding the Flag’s origin, George Washington and other Continental Congress members visited Ross and presented a flag design with 6-pointed stars. Ross instead suggested using 5-pointed stars because they were easier to cut and sew. She further demonstrated her point by folding a piece of paper and making a single snip to create a perfect 5-pointed star. The rest is, as they say, history.
Perfect Privy Marked Eagles From Among The First Issued
Here you can secure a five-piece set of 2024 $1 One-Ounce Silver Eagles With Star Privy Mark graded by either the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) or the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) in flawless Mint State-70 (MS70) condition, a distinction that means these perfectly-graded coins have ZERO imperfections—showing all features and fields exactly as the engraver and mint intended. In addition, NGC has certified that these Silver Eagles are First Day of Issue (FDI) coins, a designation that means they were received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository by the release date or on the business day within 24 hours of the official release date. Collectors seek out these coins because they are produced with new dies and considered to have sharper strikes and deeper mirrors than those that are struck later. Also, the population of coins labeled Day of Issue is only a fraction of the total mintage. Each will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
