Paying Tribute To The Battle For Berlin!
In the final months of World War II, as Nazi Germany began to crumble, capturing Berlin became the ultimate prize. For the Allies’ Big Three—Great Britain, the United States, and the Soviet Union—this was the chance to take the symbolic seat of Hitler’s expansionist and genocidal regime. As the war wound down in early 1945, British and American forces began to close in on Berlin from the West while the Soviets approached from the East. Many high-ranking officials Nazi officials, including Hitler himself, committed suicide. This tribute set features a Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Mercury Dime, Washington Quarter, and Walking Liberty Half-Dollar struck in 1945, each in Very Good (VG) condition. The entire 5-coin set will come housed in a custom-designed 3" x 5" storycard. The 1945 Mercury Dime is an especially key-date coin because it was the last year it issued before being replaced by the Roosevelt Dime in 1946. In addition, you’ll also receive a bonus 1939–1945 Nazi Germany 20 Reichsmark Occupation Note in food to Very Fine (G–VF) condition. Secure yours now!
