1968-S Lincoln Cent 50-pc Roll BU
First Struck Lincoln Memorial Cents
The reverse of the Lincoln Cent was changed from the Wheat reverse to the Lincoln Memorial in 1959 on the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth. That design was first struck at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints, then in 1968, the San Francisco Mint was brought into the fold. The mintages for the 1968-S and 1969-S were super small in comparison to the other mints, making these coins highly coveted. Here you can get a full 50-coin roll of first-year San Francisco Mint Lincoln Memorial Cents still in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition after more than 50 years!
America’s Longest-Running Coin Design
Designed by sculptor Victor David Brenner, the Lincoln Cent is the longest-running coin design in the history of the United States. Although it has undergone several changes, mostly on the reverse, Brenner’s familiar bust of President Abraham Lincoln has appeared on the U.S. Cent for more than 100 years.
This weighty 50-coin roll of first-year 1968-S Lincoln Memorial Cents is a great way to start your own collection of Lincoln Cents or buy as a gift for a young collector in your life. Secure yours now!
