1880–1908-P Indian Head Cent 29-pc Collection w/Album
1880–1908 Indian Head Cent Collection
From 1864 to 1909, the U.S. Mint struck more than 1.69 billion Indian Head Cents. That may seem like a lot, but the U.S. Mint struck more than a billion Lincoln Cents in 2018 alone! This instant collection brings together 29 consecutive years of the classic copper Indian Head Cent, from 1880 to the series’ final year in 1908.
Clean, Uncluttered Classic Design
One of the timeless classics of American coinage, the Indian Head Cent first appeared in 1859 and was struck until 1909. Featuring Liberty in a feathered headdress on the obverse, the coin also depicts a simple laurel wreath around the One Cent denomination on the reverse. Designed by James B. Longacre, the U.S. Mint’s 4th chief engraver, the clean, uncluttered design of this coin simply isn’t possible today’s due to the inscriptions required on modern coinage. It’s an absolute must-have for any American coin collection, and for many of us was the first retired design we collected!
Each 29-piece collection comes complete with an album that allows you to easily continue your journey to a full series. You’ll receive one of each date from 1890 and 1908 and each coin comes in Good or better condition. This is a prefect starter set for Indian Head Cent collectors and makes a great gift, too!
