The United States Mint’s former 12 Chief Engraver, Mercanti is an unquestioned giant in the numismatic world, a superstar talent who has produced more coin and medal designs than any person in U.S. Mint history! The obverse design shows a Majestic Bald Eagle in flight soaring high over a tree-lined mountain range while the sun and its rays can be seen rising in the background. The words, “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST” can be seen at the top and bottom of the design along with the 2022 year date. The reverse depicts a stoic and proud eagle standing resolutely with an American Flag.
