This magnificent Platinum Eagle features a bold American Eagle in flight holding an olive branch in its talons on the reverse. This design will be the common reverse for the entire series. The one-year-only obverse of this $100 legal-tender coin shows a seedling and an acorn with the inscriptions “WITH FREEDOM OF RELIGION” and “LIBERTY GROWS.” The design is an eloquent representation of the Unites States as future coins in the series will use the life cycle of the oak tree as it matures from seedling to a mighty tree as a metaphor of the country’s growth as a nation.

Each coin available here was struck at the West Point Mint and comes graded by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) as being in flawless Proof-70 Deep Cameo (PR70DC) condition, a distinction that means these perfectly-graded proofs have ZERO imperfections — showing all features and fields exactly as the engraver and mint intended. In addition, PCGS has certified that these 2021-W One-Ounce Platinum Eagle Freedom of Religion Proofs are First Strike (FS) coins, a designation that means they were received by PCGS or an PCGS-approved depository within the first 30 days of their release.
