Rendered in full color, it’s an image of a Cooktown Orchid, the floral emblem of the state of Queensland where Brisbane is located. Once abundant around Cooktown in northern Queensland, the plant is now quite rare. These plants may grow to more than 2½ feet high and can have from 3 to 20 flowering purple-colored canes.

Each legal-tender one-dollar coin was minted in a full ounce of 99.99% pure silver and has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as being in flawless Mint State-70 (MS70) condition, a distinction that means these perfectly-graded coins will have ZERO imperfections — showing all features and fields exactly as the engraver and mint intended.
