1906-O $10 Liberty Gold NGC MS62 w/Nugget
The Last 1906 $10 Liberty Gold Coin Struck At The New Orleans Mint
The 1906-O is the final $10 Gold Liberty struck at the New Orleans Mint as well as the second to last gold coin produced at New Orleans. In 1933, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt issued the infamous “Gold Recall” which required citizens to turn in all the gold they owned to be melted. The resulting carnage meant that many coins were destroyed forever. But not all!
Escapees From The 1933 Gold Recall
The 12 coins we have in our vault were saved from the smelter. Not only that, but each 1906-O $10 Liberty Gold coin has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as being in Uncirculated Mint State-62 (MS62) condition, a quality, eye-appealing grade that’s just itching to find its way into your collection.
Order Now And Receive A Host Of Bonus “Extras”
In addition to this fabulous gold coin, you’ll also receive a host of interesting bonus extras. They start with a .11-.20-gram gold nugget from the California gold fields that was recovered from the wreck of the S.S. Central America that sank in 1857. You’ll also receive an official FDR United States Mint medal; a vintage New Orleans newspaper that was published sometime between the 1840s to the 1870s (date our choice); and a poster of the official 1933 Gold Recall issued by FDR.
Because they’re also heavy, these $10 Gold eagles were easily damaged in transport. So, finding one so close to the condition it was in the day it left the mint makes this $10 Gold Liberty coin a real prize — and a great addition to your collection as an individual coin. Order now or miss out.
